How to Create 2015 Monthly Calendar Excel

Introduction

Having a calendar for your activities can help you stay organised and on top of your tasks. For busy individuals, it’s important to have a tool that can help them keep track of their commitments and the amount of time they have left to complete them. With Microsoft Excel, you can easily create a calendar for any year, including 2015.

Create a New Workbook

Open Microsoft Excel and create a new workbook. You should be able to do this by clicking the “File” tab and then selecting “New.” When the “New Workbook” window appears, make sure the “Blank Workbook” option is selected and then click “Create.”

Set the Column Width

Select column A so that the entire column is highlighted. Right-click on the column heading and select “Column Width” from the drop-down menu. Change the width of the column to 10.75 and click “OK.”

Enter the Headings

In the first row of the worksheet, type “Sun,” “Mon,” “Tue,” “Wed,” “Thu,” “Fri” and “Sat.” These are the day abbreviations you will use to fill in your calendar. Select the row and click on the “Bold” icon on the “Home” tab to make the text bold.

Type the Days

Start with the first day of the month. For 2015, the first day of the month will be a Thursday. Type the number “1” in cell A2. Type the number “2” in cell B2 and continue until you reach the last day of the month. If the month has more than 31 days, continue typing the numbers in the next row. You may need to adjust the column widths to fit the entire calendar.
